30 Jun Signing of a tentative agreement to create a GE R&D Centre in Skolkovo.
GE’s R&D Centre in Skolkovo will initially employ 50 scientists who will carry out research as part of the cluster’s center focused primarily on the subjects of energy efficiency, healthcare and information technology.
GE plans to utilize the centre, working in conjunction with its Russian business partners, to harness the wide range of products and services in strategic growth sectors, to help diversify Russia’s economy beyond natural resources and increase energy efficiency. As well as applying innovative technologies to help Russia reduce costs, increase access and improve quality in healthcare.”
