Skolkovo Cybersecurity Challenge provides an opportunity for teams to create innovative solutions to protect the world from cyber-threats. The competition is supported by key cyber security and business experts, as well as major venture capital funds. If you want to create a successful business in the field of cybersecurity, this is your chance to find funding for your project, to tap the knowledge of leading industry experts and take part in Skolkovo Foundation acceleration programs. Among those invited to take part in the challenge are people with ideas, early-stage startups, small- and medium-sized companies, and researchers and scientists (including representatives of research institutes, RAS faculties, universities, etc).

Focus on technology

The competition involves individuals and teams who have projects in the following areas:

  • New applications and infrastructure solutions to enhance the security of the Internet, engineering and business systems;
  • New ways of improving the efficiency and safety of existing communications, including wireless and optical;
  • New applications and infrastructure solutions for the prevention of cyber-threats, fraud and conducting cyber-investigations;
  • New applications and infrastructure solutions for data protection, including in the cloud and distributed environments;
  • New biometric and identification systems;
  • New solutions and software designed for safe storage and secure data transmission.

What will the competition entrants get out of it?

  • The project that receives the highest score will qualify to apply for funding through the Skolkovo Innovation Center, plus big prizes will be on offer from official competition partners.
  • The winners will also get access to an expert study session devoted to business models, technologies and strategies for the implementation of their project.
