Multimodal transport hub to be built near Trekhgorka village (Odintsovo district of Moscow region) will serve as the main logistics and passenger hub, as well as the front entrance of a Skolkovo innovation city. Construction is to be carried out with the help of private investors.  The Hub will include complex of buildings, facilities and transport infrastructure that will link Skolkovo with Moscow and the regions of Russia. It will also help to unleash a tight knot of traffic problems in the Odintsovo district of Moscow region. Equipped with elevators and escalators, it will also help to solve problem for the pedestrian crossing between railway platforms, as well as stops of public transport stops at Minsk highway and guest and business areas of the innovation center.

According to the draft project, there will also be an overpass for passengers, which together with accessory buildings will be able to accommodate trade zone. It’s worth mentioning Legoland, an entertainment park to be build next to it, as one of investor’s preconditions to join the project. And for the interior innovation city hub area it will help to solve the problem of establishing a parking zone, where guests of the innovation city will be able to transfer to Skolkovo’s eco-friendly electric public transport.

As Viktor Vekselberg said, the Hub project will be joined by the Russian Railways (RZD) and "Aeroexpress". "Building of the innovation centre just out of public funds isn’t possible, we have to bring partners into the project,” Vekselberg said. It was also stated at the event that "Finmarkt" is to invest up to $1 billion in the construction of the Hub. Its total area by 2015, when the object is fully completed, will be about 30,000 square meters. “Finmarkt” head Said-Salam Gutseriyev said he was planning to get return on his investment as soon as in 12 years.

“Aeroexpress” will carry passengers to Skolkovo first from Belorussky Train terminal. And deputy head of the capital construction department of RZD Mikhail Petrov, who attended the ceremony, said that the railway part of the project will be completed by 2014.
