A success story from the inventor of the "Hyamatrix" bioskin

The final month of the Seliger lake youth forum is traditionally dedicated to the theme of innovations. This time the Russian president Vladimir Putin came tpo the youth camp to talk to young inventors. Program of his stay included a visit to so called Seliger “Innovations Tent”, where young scientists demonstrate their achievements. Ramil Rakhmatullin, inventor of the “Hyamatrix” bioskin (skin plastic surgery and treatment of wounds and burns), head of a cell technologies laboratory of the Orenburg State University, and from now on an entrepreneur was among them. Ramil, who went back to his home city right after the meeting, in a telephone interview said to the Sk.ru that at the “Innovations Tent” show he displayed ready samples of his products, created in the Orenburg laboratory.

“In fact, I demonstrated there a success story,” said Ramil, “because my products have already entered the market." This success story started back in 2009, when Rakhmatullin with his bio-skin invention won Zvorykin foundation contest "Russian Innovation Convention”. Then he was spotted by the government by the first time. In particular, he met with Vladimir Putin at the award ceremony of the winners of the Convention.

"In 2009 with the help of then premier Vladimir Putin I got a support in the certification of “bioskin” in Russia,” Ramil said.

But then, in practice, it turned out that his product was more in demand abroad than in his homeland.

"By some reason we still continue to treated patients with bandages, while there is such an effective alternative,” complained about the situation the inventor.

This time Vladimir Putin promised again to help his "old acquaintance" with promotion of new technologies art the Ministry of Health. In Europe, meanwhile, Rakhmatullin’s bioskin has gained a recognition. The inventor has already set up a joint venture with some Italian biomed company, which has already signed contracts of about three million euros.

“The meeting with the president Putin this time quickly brought us results: the very next day I received a call from the "Russian Technologies" corporation and from "Rospharmatsiya" (manufacturing and distribution of medicine) and was offered to discuss production of the bioskin on their premises".

As Ramil Rakhmatullin said, proposals of these two large corporations were very interesting. But time ago he already decided to establish a small venture in Moscow top manufacture his bioskin. And now he is getting ready for a presentation to open it (to be held later this year). Ramil is sure nevertheless that soon he will need more space for expansion. Besides, the GMP (Global medical products) standards also require manufacturing medicine in more spacious premises to be allowed to sell on international markets. The innovator told Putin about this issue, and the Russian president told him to consider setting a company with the Innovation Center "Skolkovo", where, as Putin put it, "there is free space, which corresponds to international requirements." And, as the inventor said, to date he has registered a small innovations venture “Biomateria”, and his company has already filed an application “Skolkovo resident” status.
