Chris Janssen, Scientific Director of the Biomedical Technology Cluster, spoke about his impressions of the forum and the visitor interest in the exposition of the cluster and expressed his opinion about the results he considers important for cluster members.

This year the Biomedical Technology Cluster of the "Skolkovo" Foundation introduced an extensive program featuring cluster residents at the "Open Innovation" forum. Many of them are already very well known due to successful performance at the Russian and international innovative competitions. This time in collaboration with the IT cluster they have provided forum and exhibition participants with a unique opportunity not only to discuss the prospects of technologies but also to check certain health indicators directly at the forum using innovative mobile diagnostic devices.

"This year”, Chris Janssen said in an interview that took place before the Foundation exhibition pavilion, “we present a much larger number of companies, and we see a very positive and pleasant trend in the growth of interest in the Skolkovo project. As anyone who attended our "Open Innovation" exhibition and forum could see, of all booths of development institutions participating in the 2013 forum our booth was, perhaps, the most visited."

“I cannot but note that visitors who just came to socialize became actively engaged in the discussion of potential projects and many of them even stated testing the devices for mobile diagnostics and health monitoring with great enthusiasm. I also noted that there were quite a lot of discussions with representatives from a number of large multinational companies. Thus, we acknowledge the significant growth of interest in the residents, the exposition of the cluster,"- Chris Janssen said.

“Of course, all devices demonstrated here today require additional certification and testing", stressed the director of the Biomedical Technology Cluster of the "Skolkovo" Foundation, “but everything that is going on here at the forum presents great opportunities; look at the so-called “proof of concept”, i.e. the process of checking the validity of conceptual approaches, which means that our residents have shortened their paths to commercialization, "- Chris Janssen said.
