At 10 am on 21 September 2011, the Skolkovo Foundation presents the draft development plan for the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology and adjacent territories formulated by Swiss architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron Architekten. The presentation is to take place at 12 Krasnopresnenskaya Nab., Moscow (Angara Conference Hall).

The development concept of the university area was drawn by Swiss architects led by Pierre de Meuron, a Pritzker architecture prize winner.

Guests of the presentation include representatives of the Foundation’s clusters, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo, as well as Russian students, university lecturers and architects.

At the presentation, Gary Wentworth, Assets and Services Director at the Skolkovo Foundation Joint Directorate, will speak about the progress of the urban construction project and the architectural and design solutions that will help integrate the university campus with other districts of the innovation centre. Oleg Alekseev, chief operating officer for Education and Research Foundation, will present the prospective mission of the university, which is viewed as one of the key infrastructure elements supporting the innovation process, as the core of the future research and business community.

The presentation will be followed by an open discussion.
