On 11 December, a Finnish-Russian forum on international cooperation in technological entrepreneurship and innovation infrastructure was held at the leading Finnish University of  Aalto, Helsinki, Finland.

The forum was organised by the social sciences working group in the context of the Intergovernmental Russian-Finnish Commission on Scientific and Technological Cooperation. Professor Ingmar Byorkman, Dean, Aalto University School of Economics; Professor Riitta Kosonen, Director, Centre for the Study of the Transition Economies Markets at Aalto University (CEMAT), Director of the Aleksanteri Institute at the University of Helsinki have reported on the session. Skolkovo and Technopark Skolkovo were presented by Anna Nikina, head of the development of international programs.

Autumn 2012 was a fruitful period for the development of international cooperation between Skolkovo and Finland. Twenty Skolkovo companies visited Salo in November, about 50 companies took part in  Slush , Helsinki, and, in December, Technopark Skolkovo Peter Vesterbacka, one of the founders of Rovio, the creator of the internationally known game Angry Birds, delivered a presentation and shared his experience. Technopark Skolkovo  has signed agreements with the development organisation of Yrityssalo and the Start-up Foundation, a key foundation of entrepreneurial activities in Finland.

For those foreign technological start-ups that are interested in developing their activities in Russia, Technopark can become a reliable partner in gaining access to the new market. Starting from 2013, Technopark Skolkovo will offer the opportunity of temporary residence and a starting package for foreign companies – including those who are not parties to the project – enabling a "soft" start-up in the Russian market.
