Around 300 most talented students from all over the world will present their unique projects and prototypes of innovative products at the international final of the largest technological competition Imagine Cup 2013.


On July 8-12, 2013 the world final of the student projects competition Imagine Cup 2013 will take place in Saint-Petersburg in the frameworks of the international youth week of innovative information technologies, where the most innovative and useful IT-projects for the society will be presented by students from all over the world. The big celebration promises to be smart and impressing: around 300 best students from 69 countries will show unique technological projects – from mobile applications to “smart” robots. A full list of finalists and their projects can be found here. Winners will receive prizes in the total amount of USD 1,000,000 and other valuable awards.

On July 9 and 10 the main competition between the teams will take place. In 15 minutes students will have to tell the international panel of judges about their project, show its unique possibilities and prove that they will be able to change the world for the better with the help of their designs. On July 11 all teams will be presented at a project exhibition, while in the evening of the same day winners will be announced at a colourful show in Alexandrinsky Theater of Saint-Petersburg.

Residents and guests of Saint-Petersburg will have a unique opportunity to come in touch with innovative technologies and personally get acquainted with projects of the participants, talk to the best students from various countries. For the first time in the history of the competition an exhibition with all Imagine Cup participating projects will be opened for everyone who wants to visit it. The exhibition will take place on July 11 in the Park Inn Baltic hotel from 13:00 to 15:00. To visit the exhibition you are required to get registered here. During 11 years of its existence the competition has brought up a whole generation of creative and active young people. 1.65 million students from all over the world have already participated in Imagine Cup. This year the number of young people participating in the competition was the biggest throughout its whole history – around 500 thousand students, which is 70% more as compared to 2012. In Russia Imagine Cup 2013 gathered more than 3,000 applications with project ideas. According to the number of applications our country was on the second place in the world, staying only behind China.
