Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has simplified the process of hiring foreigners at the Skolkovo Innovation Center.
Medvedev, who signed the original decree on the creation of Skolkovo as president in 2010 and sits on its board of trustees, has included all of the project’s legal entities in a list of organizations that do not require special

permission to take on foreigners.
Companies who want to hire specialists from abroad to conduct research in Russia must jump through extra legal hoops.
In 2012 the government issued a list of organizations exempt from that law, and now Medvedev has signed a decree, visible on the government.ru website, that also grants Skolkovo an exclusion.
“With the signed decree, legal entities participating in the creation and functioning of the Skolkovo Innovation Center are included in this list,” read a statement on the government website.
“This decision will simplify the realization of the aims and tasks of the Skolkovo project.”
