Nobel Prize winner Zhores Alfyorov is to become research adviser of the innovation city, currently under construction in Skolkovo outside Moscow, a top official Vladislav Surkov said according to press reports.

He heads the working group on setting up the center. Back in February, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev announced plans to establish a cutting-edge scientific complex on development and commercialization of innovative technologies. Academician Zhores Alfyorov, a Communist deputy in the State Duma, was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2000.
