Creating an innovation center in the Moscow Skolkovo become one of the topics on the agenda of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), said Thursday at a press conference in RIA Novosti presidential aide Arkady Dvorkovich.

«The Forum is directly tied to the project to establish innovation center in Skolkovo, — said Dvorkovich.

According to him, a special briefing on the subject will the deputy head of presidential administration, Vladislav Surkov, one of the leaders of the project Viktor Vekselberg, and the former head of Intel’s Craig Barrett.

«We hope that the forum will be attended by all members of the Supervisory Board, which is being created, and in fact we will be able to hold the first Supervisory Board Management Company, which will continue to implement the project to establish an innovation center», — added Dvorkovich.

In addition Dvorkovich said that the Russian authorities have engaged in dialogue about participation in the Skolkovo project with several American and European companies are close to the negotiations with the U.S., Cisco and the Finnish Nokia.

«There is a dialogue in parallel with several companies, especially companies from the U.S., several European countries, as well as some Asian countries. Among the U.S. companies most good prospects, the most intense dialogue we have with the company Cisco», - said Dvorkovich.

According to him, the company, which is a partner in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on the technological part, «actually decided to participate in the Skolkovo project».

«We expect that some discussion can take place, including a teleconference with people who can not physically come to the forum», — said the president’s aide.

«Furthermore, I would mention the company Nokia, which we also have discussions near completion», — he added.

At the same time Dvorkovich noted that until the talk «about a particular format of participation».

According to him, dialogue is taking place with other companies, including Germany and France.

«We are doing everything that the first governing council Skolkovo actually took place in St. Petersburg», — said the president’s aide, recalling that the council will include representatives of companies that have already committed themselves.

«Liabilities, primarily relating to the establishment of centers of research and development in the Skolkovo project. And, without waiting for the construction, these companies will begin the creation of these centers in temporary locations without moving directly to the site Skolkovo — clarified Dvorkovich.

«The fact is, this is not the projects that will need to wait for several years, and projects that will begin in 2010-2011», — underlined the Kremlin’s representative.

St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held this year on June 17-19 under the theme «Laying the foundation for the future».

The world’s leading politicians and businessmen will meet at the site of the Forum to identify and discuss key challenges facing Russia, emerging markets and the world community to attract the necessary force to find possible solutions to these problems.
