In May 2010 the Skolkovo Innovation Centre Working Group declared closed tender for Innocenter brand development. Leading Russian and international companies specializing in this field were invited to participate.

In accordance with the requirements drawn up by the Tender Committee, the participants of the contest were required to present a bid package containing the presentation material on the company, portfolio of completed projects, and proposals for the general concept of the brand, cost of the work, and the stages of implementation.

Requirements for the brand specified in the tender task were as follows:

- A unique concept;

- Reflection of such qualities as innovativeness, progress and modern technology, science;

- International character of the brand.

The tender was held in two phases: May-June and July-August this year.

The bidders were: Interbrand Zintzmeyer & LuxMagic Box Arenathe Agency of Humanitarian Technologies, SPN Ogilvy PR, the MIR companyArtGraphics. ruIMA Group of Companies, the WizArt company, Direct Design Visual BrandingWolffOlins,Depot WPF (the latter two participated in the first stage).

All the concepts, proposals for cost, contractual conditions and portfolio of the companies have been carefully studied by the Tender Committee. A rating vote was held for each position. As a result, the final short list includes projects presented byInterbrand Zintzmeyer & LuxMagic Box ArenaSPN Ogilvy PRMIR, and Agency of Humanitarian Technologies.

The short list of project design works (without revealing their authorship) was introduced to members of the Skolkovo Innocenter Foundation Council. They took part in the preferential voting, the results of which were introduced to the Tender Committee. At its final meeting the Tender Committee defined two main criteria for selecting the winner: the uniqueness of the brand concept and design solutions (including results of the preferential voting of the Foundation members) and the cost of the contract.

According to the results of voting, Tender Committee decided to recognize the winners of the contest OOO «MIR», and SPN Ogilvy Public Relations.  These companies will sign contracts for Innovation Center brand development. After 45 days from the conclusion of contract, designing companies will have to provide three versions of the project brand. The Foundation Council will discuss them and make a final decision on the approval of the Innograd’s brand.

The original concept presented by Magic Box Arena received an incentive award.

Tender Committee thanked all participants and expressed hope for cooperation with them in the future.
