In a ten-minute interview, President Obama mentioned conclusion of the updated US-Russia START treaty and the 123 Agreement on cooperation in the civil nuclear domain. He also noted that Russia had achieved some progress in the WTO negotiations and expressed his support for the Skolkovo project.

Obama said that Russia had “a tremendous intellectual potential” and that “President Medvedev is absolutely right” that the US-Russian cooperation in this field could lead not only to an increase in turnover but also to a technological breakthrough that might result in “emergence of a Russian equivalent of Silicon Valley.”
