The Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs (FIEP), Varian Company and Skolkovo cluster of nuclear technologies held a conference of radiation equipment suppliers. The event was attended by the Deputy Managing Director of FIEP Ruslan Titov, the CEO of the Nuclear Technology Cluster of the Skolkovo Fund Denis Kovalevich, and the representatives of Varian: the Vice President of Customer Service Ernst Derrer, the director of business strategy Burt Lang, the Vice-President of Operations Robert Wood.

The conference was devoted to the new model of integration, which involves the insertion of Russian companies that produce products for the needs of nuclear medicine, into the Varian's chain of suppliers.

The conference was attended by the representatives of 13 high-tech companies that manufacture products for nuclear medicine - in particular, magnetic systems, lasers and cryostats.

A developed infrastructure is critical for the creation of effective communication between a major international player and local suppliers - the deputy managing director FIEP Ruslan Titov emphasizes. – The nanocenters created with the participation of the Fund will be able to provide these companies with two important resources - investment in R&D and expensive equipment for the additional work. This will help potential suppliers to bring their products to the international standards.
