A representative delegation from the Skolkovo Foundation headed by Alexei Beltyukov, vice president and chief development officer of Planning of the Skolkovo Foundation, will take part in a session of the fourth Russian–Italian forum “Cooperation in the field of modernisation and innovation” in Verona (Italy) from 27 to 28 October 2011.
Alexei Beltyukov, vice president of the Skolkovo Foundation, will speak at the opening of the forum on 27 October. Then Denis Kovalevich, executive director of the Skolkovo Foundation Nuclear Technology Cluster, will present a paper on “Managing the life cycle of complex projects” at the session entitled “Innovative production processes. Industrial design”.
On 28 October, under the theme of “Infrastructure. Space and Telecommunications. Transport and logistics”, Sergey Zhukov, executive director of the Skolkovo Foundation Space Technologies and Communications Cluster, will present a paper, in the capacity of an invited expert, on the subject “The cluster’s priorities. Prospects for cooperation with Italian companies in the aerospace industry”.
In the session on “Construction materials and technologies for the ‘smart house’” Yekaterina Gaika, deputy director for education and research of the Skolkovo Foundation IT cluster, will address the issue of “The Skolkovo IT cluster: results of our work, current projects and prospects for cooperation with Italian companies in the IT industry”.
“Italy, as one of the most technologically developed countries in Europe, is a promising partner for Skolkovo. Discussions are under way concerning cooperation between the Foundation and the biggest Italian energy companies, Enel and Eni. Italian scientists are taking part in a range of technological projects being developed under the auspices of Skolkovo. We are working in cooperation with Poste Italiane on creating a Global Cyber Security Centre in order to improve Russian–Italian cooperation in the field of IT security. I am convinced that the current meeting with our Italian partners will yield new concrete results,” stated Alexei Beltyukov, vice president and chief development officer of Planning of the Skolkovo Foundation
The event is being organised by the Conoscere Eurasia Association (Verona, Italy) and the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade, with support from the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and Opora Russia, the All-Russian Non-Governmental Organisation of Small and Medium-Sized Business, and under the patronage of the Italian Council of Ministers.
