On June 13, 2013 an agreement was signed on the establishment of R&D center for the company “Dauria Aerospace” on the territory of Skolkovo Innovation Centre.
An agreement was signed by the executive director of the Skolkovo Foundation Space Technologies and Telecommunications cluster Sergey Zhukov and founder of “Dauria Aerospace” Mikhail Kokorich.
Works on small-sized space platforms and effective payload as well as software and hardware solutions for space information transfer, storage and processing are planned to be conducted at the R&D Center.
“Establishment of R&D and project offices of key partners at Skolkovo is one of the most important developments of the research infrastructure and innovative community of the innovation center. Today we signed an agreement with “Dauria Aerospace”, developer of low-budget small-sized space equipment and resident of the Skolkovo Foundation. It must be mentioned that this is one of the first commercial companies that started using tools of state-private partnership with Roscosmos. I hope that establishment of the R&D Center at Skolkovo will allow the company to conduct scientific and research works on a higher level of quality and attract necessary partners for the project completion”, commented director for development of the Skolkovo Foundation Space Technologies and Telecommunication cluster Dmitri Payson.
“For us Skolkovo is in the first place an environment of like-minded people. The Foundation became an important center for interaction between people who care about the development of astronautics and private astronautics in particular. “Dauria Aerospace” realizes projects such as the creation of services for space monitoring and supervision using space equipment designed by the company. We create small-sized low-budget devices that are considerably cheaper than traditional satellites, and the time for design and production is considerably lower. All this will allow us creating space groups consisting of considerable number of satellites which will bring changes into the approach of Earth monitoring. It will make it more efficient and cheap. Space sector seems more interesting and prospective to us”, stated founder of “Dauria Aerospace” Mikhail Kokorich.
