Applications for the Data Fusion Awards Deadline Extended to January 28

The Skolkovo Foundation, working jointly with VTB and the technology publication CNews, extended the applications deadline for the all-Russian cross-sector prize in the field of big data, Data Fusion Awards. Skolkovo will announce the winners at a special nomination, Data Fusion Rising Stars.

The competition selection will take place by way of three nominations: “Data Fusion in Business” (sub-categories “Breakthrough of the Year,” “Data Monetization,” “Trendsetter”), “Data Fusion in Education” (sub-category “Educational Initiative of the Year”). Moreover, the partners of the Data Fusion Awards will present awards for three specific nominations: “Business-partnership in Data Fusion” and “Partnership in the Field of Science and Research” are two VTB grand prix; the “Data Fusion Rising Stars” is a special nomination by the Skolkovo Foundation.

Data Fusion is a concept that proposes the unification of data, merging or transfer of algorithms from one field of machine learning to another, and also synergizing machine learning processes. Applications for the competition will be accepted until January 28, 2022 on the official website of the award: awards.data-fusion.ru.

After the end of the acceptance of applications on January 28, a long list of projects-competitions will be compiled. The expert commission checks them according to the management of the competitive selection and forms a shortlist of participants in each of the nominations. The awards ceremony will take place in Moscow on April 14 at the Data Fusion conference. The best projects are awarded a diploma and an award stele.
