Skolkovo Hosted the II Caspian Economic Forum
Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan will deepen trade and economic cooperation within the framework of the Caspian "five". This was announced by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin at the II Caspian Economic Forum held in the Skolkovo Innovation Center.

According to Mikhail Mishustin, the Caspian region is planned to become one of the largest hubs for transcontinental transportation in Eurasia.
“Coordinated steps to develop transport and logistics capabilities are important. The region should become one of the largest transcontinental transport hubs in Eurasia. This will contribute to the formation of regional markets, building up trade and industrial cooperation,” said the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
Together with Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan Ali Asadov and Alikhan Smailov, First Vice President of Iran Mohammad Mokhber and Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Khodjamyrat Geldimuradov took part in the Caspian Economic Forum.
The heads of delegations confirmed their interest in working together to increase trade and mutual investment. The parties noted that cooperation in the Caspian region would make it possible to compensate for the negative consequences of global economic turbulence.
The III Caspian Economic Forum will be held in 2023 in Iran.
