16 сентября 2021 г.

A Skolkovo Foundation representative attended Brain Bar, a European tech conference in Budapest devoted to future studies. Daria Shunina, the head of international startup relations, met with the conference founder, Gergely Böszörményi-Nagy, to discuss future collaboration, especially regarding the upcoming Skolkovo Softlanding program, which starts on 22 November and is currently accepting applicants.

Ms. Shunina gave a presentation on the Skolkovo Softlanding program to Hungarian startups to attract new companies to Russia's main innovation ecosystem. The startups were from numerous sectors, including indoor farming for local chefs, financial fraud solutions, digital finance products, AI-based agricultural solutions, etc.

The Skolkovo Foundation is actively developing cooperation with Hungary to boost scientific and technological development and startup exchanges between the two countries. One of the Skolkovo Foundation’s biggest partners is Design Terminal, Central Europe’s leading agency to create so-called “innovation champions” through corporate partnerships and talent accelerators. Both sides are currently working on a bilateral program, the details of which will be published in the near future. As a result of the visit, several Hungarian companies will be joining Skolkovo’s Softlanding Program this coming November.

Ms. Shunina met with two previous participants of the Skolkovo Softlanding Program – the Hungarian startups Medzona and MOON42, which are currently applying for Skolkovo resident status.

Daria Shunina, head of international startup relations at the Skolkovo Foundation:

"Nowadays, Russian-Hungarian cooperation is developing very actively. The main objective of the visit was to meet the key players of the Hungarian innovative ecosystem and discuss potential mutual projects. Hungary is well-known for its strong agricultural sector, and now they are working on new space-related projects. We hope to see high-tech Hungarian startups among the participants of the next Softlanding Program.”
