Mikhail Gusev, Skolkovo Representative in India: “India not only develops its own innovative potential to consolidate its leadership in high-tech segments, but also opens its markets for foreign technological companies. Encouraging innovative solutions to a wide range of socio-economic and environmental problems standing in the way of sustainable development and improving the lives of people in India is admirable. We follow the general trend of developing mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and India and are steadily moving towards the strengthening of our presence in the country to assist Russian technology companies on Indian markets.”
These days FinTech, BioTech, EdTech, AgriTech, Health Tech, Fashion Tech are rapidly growing in India, which opens up opportunities for foreign companies to enter the local market. A lot of potential has WellTech, which can become one of the largest industries in India. Its relevance is dictated not only by the organically developing market, but also by the consequences of the pandemic. Skolkovo residents can offer innovative products in all these different fields.
Maria Bobyleva, Marketing and Business development manager of Geometa: “We held about 50 short meetings in Delhi and were pleasantly surprised by the interest in our solution, the State system for ensuring urban development Geometa, and in solutions in the field of GIS and Smart city in general. India is actively developing in this direction, for example, implementing an extremely ambitious plan to create 100 Smart cities. For this business mission, we had several goals: to tell potential partners about our product during pitch sessions, as well as to hold individual meetings and confirm the first agreements. The goals have been achieved. We have also established contacts with companies that have confirmed their interest in our product.”
Alexander Grishin, CEO of Corp.bank: “As a result of the business mission, contacts of more than 20 companies were received for negotiations on topics related to our project. The strategy for starting cooperation with banks and opening a legal entity in the country has become clearer. On the behalf of the company, the director of the partner company in Hong Kong and the representative in India Aayush Saxena also participated in the mission. Over the next 6 months, we expect to complete the implementation of 2-3 pilot projects for the integration of 3-6 banks with SAP customer systems. I am sure that participation in this business mission has significantly contributed to the achievement of the company's development goals in India.”
