Skolkovo to give $148,000 to speech recognizer RealSpeaker
Out of $148,000, $117,000 is allocated by the Skolkovo Foundation, and $31,000 is added by a co-investor. The funds will be used by the company to employ team members, make alfa-version of the technology and test its web-version.
RealSpeaker is a resident of the Kazan IT-Park. Today, RealSpeaker specialists are testing a new version of the technology that allows to automatically recognizer users’ speech and transform it into a lettered text. According to the company, the project might lead to a revolution in the process of interaction between a person and computer, as the system can adapt itself to a specific user based on the super-accurate speech recognition system RealSpeaker.
Early in 2012 the Skolkovo Foundation has increased its grants from $45,000 to $155,000. The Skolkovo grant is given to its clusters’ resident-companies with projects at an idea stage in order to prepare applications for the “big” grant that is allocated under the decision by the Skolkovo grant committee.
