In Moscow Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia will announce the winners of start-up contest featuring innovative and genuine solutions for fashion industry: tech solutions for customise retail, and fabric manufacturing, shoes and accessories, wearable technologies, smart fabrics for cloth and shoes, new solutions in cosmetic and many more. The projects will be presented in scopes of the international conference Fashion Futurum on 17 March 2017 at the Central Exhibition Venue Manezh.
The jury consisting of experts on business acceleration, venture investments and fashion industry will evaluate the presentations of start-ups. Selection of projects will be performed in cooperation with Skolkovo Foundation.
Visionary conference Fashion Futurum will be held in Moscow for the second time on 16-17 March 2017 in scopes of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia at Manezh. Currently global fashion environment experiences considerable pressure and undergoes rapid changes. These subjects among other interesting topics will be discussed by the invited experts within the two days of conference. The following speakers confirmed their attendance: Karim Rashid (designer), Pascal Morand (French Chamber of the Haute Couture and prêt-à-porter), Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros (Inditex, Government High Commissioner for Marca España), Michael Burke (Google), Scott Emmons (Neiman Marcus Group), Amanda Parkes (Manufacture NY), Danilo Venturi (Polimoda), Covadonga O'Shea (ISEM Fashion Business School), Eddie Mullon (Launchmetrics, Fashion GPS), Mark Jarvis (World Textile Information Network), Marvin Liao (500 Startups), Giusy Bettoni (CLASS - Creativity Lifestyle And Sustainable Synergy), Céline Lippi (Fashion Capital Partners) and many others.
Fashion Futurum Startup Show is the successful follow-up of the international conference Fashion Futurum that took place in fall 2016. In cooperation with the largest Russian and Eastern Europe's start-up accelerator GenerationS the show featured selection of a number of projects in the field of technological solutions in fashion industry, visual technologies, new technologies in consumer goods industry, virtual and augmented reality along with mobile fashion applications which are ready to be launched in Russia with further projecting to the international markets. Young teams offering innovative and genuine solutions for fashion industry had the chance for the first time ever to present their ideas at the major Russian fashion venue - Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia.
