Russian premier Dmitry Medvedev and Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin at the “Open Innovations” forum visited the “Skolkovo Schools” pavilion and pledged their support for this educational project.


As Elena Bulin-Sokolova, (she also kindly presented the following photos), head of the “Skolkovo Educational Complex for Kids” project said to the Sk.ru correspondent, Dmitry Medvedev said he would support the Skolkovo schools network and will act as a curator of the Association of Innovative (Skolkovo) schools.

Schoolchildren, who were the most active participants of the show, told the Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin about their first R&D experiments.

The kids showed the mayor results of their study of noise levels in the city, around their school district: they made an interactive map of noise levels, linked the city map . This IT product was based on a technology, developed by one of Skolkovo residents.

The junior grades schoolchildren asked Sergey Sobyanin to protect the building of their school from the city noise. They also asked him to consider in the future erection of new school buildings in quiet places.Sergey Sobyanin said he will consider the proposal and promised that he will also study an issue to provide Skolkovo Schools with some target subsidies for operational activities, as soon as these schools will be placed in action, at 2014.
