May 15, 2013 — A meeting of the employees of OAO Vega Group took place, headed by General Director/Designer Vladimir Verba and Development Director Dmitry Paison along with Sergei Zhukov, head of the cluster “Space Technology and Telecommunications” at Skolkovo. At the meeting, it was agreed that Vega will take part in the StartUp Village.
At the meeting, participants discussed issues of cooperation in connection with Vega Group's team being assigned the status of a participant in the Skolkovo project "Development of technology for the production of composites for next-generation radiation-resistant base-supporting structures of electronic modules of aerospace systems" (Minutes of the meeting of the Expert Board of Skolkovo, April 2013 ). Vladimir Verba, along with Sergei Zhukov, noted that this is a positive step for Vega Group as well as for the cluster, which anticipates further pragmatic work in accordance with the regulations of Skolkovo and the project plan. A.V. Frolov, the deputy general designer for innovative projects and director of Vega Group's council on innovation, as well as the members of the project team, V.N. Gulbin, A.V. Bril, and I.A. Petrova, spoke about the current work on the project and on the priorities facing the project team. Vega Group's Deputy General Director for Strategic Development, V.A. Mikheyev, spoke on how the project affects corporate policy in the field of R & D as well as interaction with institutional development centers.
Deputy Director of Cluster Development Dmitry Paison explained the regulations that must be observed in the formalization of the status of participant, and, in the future, grantee. He also invited the representatives of Vega Group to participate in the big event “Startup Village,” which will be held at "Skolkovo" on May 27-28, 2013, an invitation which was gratefully accepted. At the end of the meeting, V.S. Verba and S.A. Zhukov wished the project team success and fruitful work in achieving the intended results.
