The All-Russian Startup Tour was a success story for seven victorious teams from Saratov, who will go to Skolkovo to attend the Startup Village in June 2014 and will take part in the Open Innovations forum in the fall of 2014 and will get other types of support from state development institutions.
Saratov, one of Russia’s top-20 biggest cities is the center of Saratov agglomeration, which hosts about million people, important industrial, educational, scientific institutions. No wonder the city offered so many projects, and best fifteen of them were selected from numerous applicants, who wanted to take part in the Tour’s pitches, expert panels, master classes and workshops.
The local administration should be granted as well as it has rendered a significant support for the Tour. The event itself took place in the government’s building. And the head of the region Valery Radaev took part in the opening event of the tour in his city. Among other, the Saratov governor said that nine regional projects have already become Skolkovo residents.
The event was (traditionally) full of welcome greetings, cheering speeches, valuable comments and advices, given to local start-uppers by state development institutions top managers, local and Moscow experts, other speakers and guests, who came to Saratov to show young entrepreneurs, that they aren’t alone and there is someone, who can give a hand and help them to grow.
