Top minds from the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology gathered in the Hypercube last week to present research trends in the fields of brain evolution, renewable energy and quantum physics.

Skolkovo is aiming to become a top international science hub, not just for producing innovative new research but also as a forum where cutting-edge ideas are first voiced and discussed among peers.

Last week’s “Skoltech Sci-Talks 1.0” discussion progressed well past the allotted finish time at the Hypercube, featuring 15-minute presentations from Dean of Faculty Prof. Natalia Berloff, Prof. Kelvin Willoughby of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Prof. Phillip Khaitovich, among others.

Topics ranged from chimpanzee’s brains to intellectual property protection. The popularity of the event means more will be planned, organizers say.

A rundown of the event with a photo gallery can be found at the Skoltech website here.
