Skolkovo, the leading Russian tech fund, will take part in the IoT World conference for the first time. The IoT conference is the biggest global IoT event that brings together hi-tech startups and leaders of the connected devices industry. The conference will take place in Santa Clara Convention Center, USA, on 10-12 May 2016.
The Russian IoT Association was established last year and it is affiliated with the Skolkovo Foundation. The Association has 20 members, including the biggest Russian telecom operator Rostelecom, Skolkovo’s portfolio companies, Tizen.ru Association, leading agricultural holding RusAgro and other organizations.
Alexander Anufrienko, Head of IoT Division at IT Cluster, Skolkovo: “The Russian government pays close attention to the development of the IoT ecosystem that operates under auspices of Skolkovo. Russian IoT Association unites the efforts of software and hardware developers, operators, integrators and other participants of the market for fast prototyping and estimation of new business models. It is also engaged in local and international standardization for IoT at ITU-T. The potential share of the Russian market for appliance of the IoT technologies is estimated at 30% of the total GDP, which equals over $310 billion.”
Eight hi-tech startups developing services based on the wireless networks will showcase their products at Skolkovo booth #1005. The full list of the companies is the following:
DEUS
Complete wireless system for intellectual lighting works to deploy enterprise-grade wireless lighting control system at a fraction of time and cost of traditional systems. With ME6 Cloud, you can create multiple objects, control individual spaces, design custom scenarios, monitor network health, and much more
THRONE Systems
Smart home solution learns the way you use electronic stuff at home and gradually makes more and more things happen automatically. It helps to get rid of routine manual switching and adjusting devices. It saves your time, and cuts the bills.
Q2 Laboratory
Long-range IoT radio network (QCONTROL) makes possible the mass production of inexpensive alternative sources of electricity. Thanks to piezoelectric radioisotopes technology Q2 created numerous prototypes of electronic devices that operate without batteries or other external power supply.
Anamezon
Source of radio lighting creates a reliable, high-speed and energy-efficient networks in industrial and residential buildings due to the use of chaotic (noise-like) signals. The technology facilitates data transmission in industrial applications, residential facilities, and medical systems.
Navigine
Indoor location and navigation platform for mobile developers and system integrators
for creating indoor navigation and tracking services. The platform provides 1 meter accuracy of indoor navigation and fast deployment - up to 50,000 sq. m. per one day.
Eltechs
Virtualization software for Raspberry Pi and other ARM devices provides cost-effective and risk-free solution for transferring software on the ARM platform without rewriting the source code.
Do Ra
Compact-size personal dosimeter-radiometers silicone detector is integrated into modular smartphones. It can be used to check the safety of consumed food, informing about radiation risks, tracking of irradiation dose being received and other.
EnSol Battery
Active balancing system for improvement of industrial lithium batteries capacity and life cycle.
About the Skolkovo Foundation
The Skolkovo Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in September 2010 by the Russian government with the objective of accelerating Russia’s transformation from a resource-intensive to an innovation-based economy. To achieve this objective, the Foundation is overseeing the creation of the Skolkovo Innovation Center, composed of more than 1,400 high-tech startups, Skolkovo Technopark, the Skolkovo Institute of Technology (Skoltech) - a new graduate research University established in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology - and Skolkovo city, located near Moscow. Together, these entities establish a vibrant ecosystem of technology innovation and entrepreneurship. Fifty global corporations including Boeing, Cisco Systems, EADS, GE, Johnson & Johnson, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Siemens, Nokia, Samsung, and Panasonic have already recognized the opportunity Skolkovo presents by signing R&D partnership agreements with the Foundation. The cumulative revenue of Skolkovo’s startups through December 2015 reached $1 billion. They brought in more than $270 million in investment, creating 17,500 jobs and filing over 1,800 patent applications along the way. By 2020 over 2 million square meters of residential and office space will be built in Skolkovo with 35,000 people working daily in the Innovation Center. For more information: http://www.sk.ru/en
