Skolkovo's Asian RoadShow Shows Positive Results

13 августа 2020 г.

The Skolkovo Foundation’s Asian RoadShow has shown positive results overall, following an array of online meetings and pitch sessions with foreign representatives. Although previous roadshows took place offline, the online format proved efficient and led to mutual cooperation between developers of innovative technologies and international partners.

Over the course of three and a half months, the Skolkovo RoadShow took place in China, India, South Korea, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Indonesia, some of which were organized in cooperation with the Russian Export Center. The aim was to give Skolkovo companies the opportunity to show off their solutions in order to develop business relations with foreign companies and investors.

Skolkovo startup companies gave over eighty presentations for solutions in the fields of biomedicine technologies, information technologies, financial technologies, and smart city technologies.

The foreign audience comprised of representatives from big business, investors, members of diplomatic missions, including Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Lyudmila Vorobieva, Mayor Mohammed Rudi of Batam in Indonesia, the vice president of IT at AstraZenica India Siva Padmanabhan, and the head of information and communication technology at Invest Hong Kong Wendy Chow.

“The new roadshow format has allowed us not only to increase the number of business missions, but to improve their quality, and to also quickly and effectively establish business contacts,” said Arkady Dvorkovich, the chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation. “I am certain that this will bring success not only to Skolkovo companies, but to our partner countries. I would like to thank the representatives of diplomatic missions, corporations and the Russian Export Center for their help in organizing the roadshow. We would be delighted to continue this joint work for the implementation of new innovative projects.”
