THE MONITORING SYSTEM OF SLEET INTENSITY ON OVERHEAD POWER LINES

Essence of innovation: 

Proposed the monitoring system MIG, which informs the operator about the parameters of the sleet in real time for well-timed melting or heating wires. MIG system consists of measuring stations installed on the overhead line network area and software package for the operator. 

Results achieved:

  • Conducted full-scale tests of the temperature measurement modules on the 10 kV wires at "Volgogradenergo“;
  • Conducted field tests of the 1st stage of the icing intensity monitoring on the 110 kV wires at "Volgogradenergo“;
  • Started icing intensity monitoring tests with limited functionality in "MOESK" LLC.
