Resident of the Information Technologies cluster “Kuznech” reports several success stories at once, opening even wider prospects for this service.
Internet visual search technologies created by the resident company of the Skolkovo Foundation “Kuznech” see even wider recognition both in Russia and abroad.
In May 2013 “Kuznech” signed a contract with the largest photo bank of stock photos and illustrations Depositphotos for the service of image indexation and search.
A month earlier the company successfully debuted on the Russian market with a recommendation service of search for similar products at internet shops Similar4. The largest internet shops like “Spaseebo” (www.spaseebo.ru), “Rendez-Vous” (www.rendez-vous.ru), “Butik Ru” (www.butik.ru), “Corame” (www.corame.ru) signed contracts with “Kuznech” for the use of this service. As reported by the company, presently there are about 50 more companies using the service in the test mode.
In February “Kuznech” had another piece of good news, this time from the USA where “Kuznech” received a US patent # US 8374914B as of February 12, 2013 “Advertising Using Image Comparison”.
“Patenting in the USA opens the American market for us”, commented Mikhail Pogrebnyak, Director General of “Kuznech”, on the grant of the American patent. “Entering USA and Russian market was included in our company’s strategy from the moment of its establishment. Market in the West is very competitive, in order to protect our technology we need patents in the first place.
