About forty high-ranked foreign diplomats working in Russia met in the Hypercube for a conference, where they expressed their sympathies and believe in importance of the Skolkovo project for the world community

Carlos Antonio Da Rocha Paranhos, Embassador of the Republic of Brazil in Russia:

It is very important because this is the way to get together business people of the G20 to explore all possibilities of cooperation. But most important thing here is that Skolkovo is trying to develop a spirit of entrepreneurship. To give young creators and innovators tools for developing new industries, new startups, etc. And I think this is very important and this is something that should be spread as a mentality among the G20 members.

Stuart Dwyer, Minister Counselor for Economic Affairs at the. U.S. Embassy in Moscow:

To my understanding there are roughly nine companies that have signed on in one way or another with Skolkovo. And I think that first of all the whole sort of “field of innovation” is critical to the broader health of all of our economies, both in Russia and United States. And when you look at the US economy , when you look at the job creation, for example: almost all of the job creation has come from the innovative enterprises that are scaling up. You look at the key partners here at Skolkovo: they are all well-established companies. But they must continually innovate. And I think being part of this project helps them achieve this goal.

So, I think much of the story of Skolkovo is to be written, but judging by the investment and commitment these companies have made in this project they believe in the ability of Skolkovo to contribute to that innovative process that is so critical to them. An openness to investments from both sides is “win-win”.  As the Russian economy continues to develop, there will be more players that will be coming to the United States. So, I think, it’s a two-way process, and the fact that Microsoft creates jobs here, doesn’t take them away elsewhere contributes to the health of the company, makes it a stronger company. And it will be positive for us and for Russia.
