The Skolkovo delegation’s Asian roadshow, during which residents and representatives of the Foundation paid a visit to Hong-Kong with its technoparks and development facilities, participated in the ICT Expo and visited Shenzhen, the epicenter of electronics manufacturing, is still in the focus of attention in Chinese media.
The meetings and events that Skolkovo representatives took part in were covered in dozens of publications including in such major mass media outlets as the state owned Xinhua News Agency and China News Agency as well as such authoritative publications as Shenzhen Daily, Asia Pacific Daily and China Electronic News. The vice president of the Foundation, Executive Director of the IT Cluster Igor Bogachev had this to say about the keen interest the Chinese showed in the visit of the Skolkovo delegation, “Russian developers are traditionally good at software development, image recognition technology, big data analysis algorithms, cloud computing, while Chinese specialists are very much ahead in manufacturing equipment and parts. This means we can combine our strengths to achieve a tremendous synergy effect”.

Chinese delegations frequently come to Skolkovo. The vice president of the Skolkovo Foundation for external communications and advertising Alexander Chernov noted: ‘Taking into account China’s fast-paced growth as a technology superpower not only at the regional but also at the global level and the growing interest of our Chinese partners in what is going on at Skolkovo, we plan to enhance information exchange with our Chinese partners. It is entirely possible that soon, in addition to the Russian and English versions of our website, we will also have a Chinese version running.’
