The Turkish division of mobile network heavyweight Vodafone is now offering its customers cloud storage using a platform created by Skolkovo resident ASD Tehnolodzhiz.

Vodafone Turkey used the Cloudike platform created by the Nizhny Novgorod-based company to launch the Güvenli Depo (Safe Storage) cloud service for customers. The service was launched at the beginning of this month, together with a 4.5G network across Turkey.

“We’ve shown that companies from Russia’s regions can successfully compete on the international hi-tech market, thereby laying the foundations for the growth of the innovations segment of the Russian economy,” said Dmitry Malin, general director of ASD Tehnolodzhiz, a resident of the Skolkovo Foundation’s IT cluster.

Cloudike enables mobile carriers to provide a ready-developed cloud service under their own brand.

“This success story with the Turkish division of Vodafone confirms the need for such solutions, and opens up new markets and opportunities for our resident in fields where the volume of data is growing rapidly and requires constant synchronization,” said Olga Strelova, head of cloud services within the foundation’s IT cluster.

ASD Tehnolodzhiz offers cloud storage solutions for both individual users and businesses. In 2014, the company attracted investment from venture funds in South Korea for its development on the international market.

The Skolkovo resident is a global partner of Chinese telecom company Huawei, and also works with Korea Telecom and Russian companies including banking giant Sberbank and network operator Megafon.
