Russian and foreign architects, members of the Skolkovo Foundation Town Planning Board, gathered today at the Moscow Ritz-Carlton Hotel to discuss the architectural concepts of the Innovation Centre development.

At the meeting, members of the Board discussed projects received from following companies: SWECO INTERNATIONAL AB (Sweden); Perkins Eastman Architects International, LLC (USA); OVE ARUP and Partners International Limited (United Kingdom), AREP Ville (France), JURONG Consultants Pte. Ltd. (Singapore). In addition, the Board examined materials provided by companies RMJM (Great Britain), OMA (the Netherlands) and Royal Haskoning (the Netherlands).

World-famous architects such as Jean Pistre, Pierre de Meuron, Kazuyo Sejima and David Chipperfield expressed their views on the proposed concepts. Russia was represented by President of the Union of Architects of Russia Andrei Bokov, Rector of the Moscow Architecture Institute Alexander Kudryavtsev, and architect Yuri Grigoryan. The discussion was also attended by First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov and City Manager of the “Skolkovo” Innovation Center Viktor Maslakov.

The company that obtains a contract for the creation of city development plan will collaborate with Russia's leading designing companies, such as NIIP General Plan of Moscow, Mosgorgeotrest, and VTM-DORPROEKT.

According to the Co-Chair of the Skolkovo Town Planning Board Veniamin Golubitsky, “discussions with the assistance of independent experts will continue in the future, which includes the development of transport schemes and infrastructure of the Innovation Center”.
