This month innovators, financiers and government reps got together to spur growth and change at the first-ever Open Innovations Forum. Thousands of high-tech goodies were on display, including a camera setup offering picture resolution more than ten times the norm. Satellite imaging is now at everyone’s fingertips, thanks to a Russian company specializing in snapshots from space. And it was gadgets galore as the globe’s biggest computer makers launched a plethora of new tablets and software. But Russia’s top Internet firms weren’t to be left out in the cold, with a pair of new browsers, an alternative app store and a free online game that can compete with the biggest blockbusters around.
