The Skolkovo Foundation may sign cooperation agreements with Alstom Power Company and with the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS) on March 2, during a visit of the Skolkovo Foundation’s delegation to France, the president of the Foundation, Viktor Vekselberg, told journalists on Friday.

Earlier on Friday, the Skolkovo Foundation announced that in 2011 it was planning to sign cooperation agreements with 15 large international companies working in various areas of a science and technology.

EADS is the global leader in space and defensive industries and in the provision of related services. In 2009, the consolidated revenues of EADS reached 42.8 billion euro.

EADS includes the manufacturer of passenger planes - Airbus; the manufacturer of tanker aircraft, special-purpose and transport planes - Airbus Military; the largest world manufacturer of helicopters - Eurocopter and the European leader in realization of space programs - EADS Astrium. EADS is also a main partner in the Eurofighter Consortium, developing the manufacturing of A400M cargo planes and has a share in a joint company - MBDA, the world leader in the manufacture of rocket systems.

The French power concern Alstom is engaged in the manufacturing and supply of electric power, development of a railway infrastructure, occupying one of the leading positions in the field of development of innovative and ecologically safe technologies. The company operates in over 70 countries.

The Skolkovo Innovation Center is a prototype of a “city of the future”, which should become the largest testing ground for the new economic policy of Russia. On the specially designated territory, will be created special conditions for research and development, including for the creation of power and energy efficient technologies, nuclear, space, biomedical and computer technologies.
