The 6th solemn ceremony devoted to granting resident statuses to the new participants of the innovation center Skolkovo took place in Moscow. Company ‘Apikont’ was called project participant number 200. Major business of ‘Apikont’ is problem solving in the sphere of ultra-high-density information storage in nanomagnetic transitions and developing principles of spin injection Terahertz emission in magnetic transitions.

The following companies joined the space cluster of the innovation city:

Group of companies NAVIGATOR (creating new services in geoinformation, navigation and telematics with the aid of satellite systems GLONASS/GPS/GALILEO/Compass);

Company ‘Cosmoenergotech’ (developing and introducing into educational and project activity of high school and university students real-time space technologies, such as remote exploration of the Earth from space, satellite GLONASS/GPS navigation, renewable (solar) energy);

Centre of innovation activity of JSV ‘NPO ‘Energomash’’ (developing and implementing of the essentially new rocket fuel – acetam - in the existing space technical equipment based on liquid oxygen rocket engines).

Altogether 29 companies received Skolkovo resident statuses during the event. Of these, 4 joined the space cluster, 15 joined information technology and computer science cluster, 4 entered into the biomedical technologies cluster. Vice-president of the Skolkovo Foundation, President Chief of Staff and Head of Councils of the Foundation Dmitry Kolosov handed in to the representatives of the companies crystal bricks as symbols of participation in the project.

Energy efficient technologies cluster was enlarged by such companies as:

AkTerm (coal generation project);

‘Science and production association ‘Turbotechnika’’ (innovations in air supply for power units);

Company ‘Plasmochemical Technologies’ (project of utilization of household solid waste);

Company ‘Universal Energy’ (developing innovative fuel for modern solid-fueled steam-gas plants with efficiency factor above 48%);

Company ‘CIR IE’ (constructing intellectual energy systems);

Company ‘CK KET’ (creating the constantly running system of perspective innovation projects generation for Skolkovo in the area of energy efficient technologies).

The largest number of Skolkovo participants joined the IT cluster. Among them were: ‘Alset Vellen’ (developing algorithms and methods for DRM-signals processing that decrease requirements to the performance of processing units in use);

‘Vokord SoftLab’ (reconstructing 3D-models of real world objects by the series of synchronous images);

‘Glosema’ (creating document flow system of the future);

‘INTEGRIT TECHNOLOGIES’ (creating new generation IP-telephony for industrial, transport and other economic applications);

‘Indoorgo NS’ (developing of the technology that allows to locate, navigate and exchange short messages with the aid of portable mobile devices);

‘Collowear’ (creating a platform for data storage and processing with the agile dynamic structure based on the number of technologies under the common name ‘Semantic Networks’);

‘Colorpen Research’ (creating a virtual classroom for synchronous education via Internet);

‘Connector Optics Technologies’ (developing new optical connections);

‘Logos – Agental Technologies’ (creating software and hardware unit for teaching basic driving skills);

Above that, the following companies were accepted into the IT cluster:

‘SAD-KOM’ (the project of shifting from wide-range analog broadcasting to digital broadcasting);

‘Optic-Fiber’ (developing optical fiber lasers);

‘Proff-DO’ (creating series of educational software);

‘Security Stronghold’ (developing a system of intellectual management for electric engine and battery management);

‘TOYTEMIC Inventions’ (suggestion of a unique positioning system);

‘FNMT’ (project of amplifying single-photon emission due to meta-materials).

Finally, the cluster of biomedical technologies will include companies ‘Asinex Medchim’ and ‘INFARMA’, science and production medico-pharmaceutical unit ‘AstLek’, private organization ‘Biomedical centre’.

About the Skolkovo Foundation

The Foundation of Development of the Centre of Research and Commercializing of the New Technologies ‘Skolkovo’ is a non-profit organization created by the initiative of the President of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in September 2010. The goals of the Foundation are to mobilize resources of Russia in the sphere of modern applied research, and to create friendly environment for scientific research in five priority directions: energy sector and energy efficiency, space, biomedicine, nuclear science and IT&C. The project includes creating Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (SIST), founding a number of research institutes, creating a business incubator, a center of technologies transfer and commercialization, research and development centers. Additionally, in the territory of the innovation city there will be located representative offices of the foreign companies, and there will be biult residential buildings and social infrastructure. In the future Skolkovo effective regime will be applied to other innovative regions of Russia. Activities of the innovation center ‘Skolkovo’ are regulated by a separate law that offers special economic conditions for its residents.
