The Baltic-Nordic Forum on innovation issues in European R&D programmes EUREKA and EUROSTARS will attract participants from 5 Nordic and 3 Baltic countries.
The aim of this annual event is to strengthen collaboration between Baltic and Nordic countries, to discuss relevant problematic issues and foster the generation of new project ideas for EUREKA and Eurostars. 

The first day event will start in Trakai, opening by Lithuanian national EUREKA coordinator Birute Bukauskaite from Lithuanian Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA)  and news from other Baltic - Nordic and EUREKA offices. There will be presented an important programme for the successful development of this region - European Union’s Baltic Sea region Programme (BSR) , in which 11 countries work together to find joint solutions to common problems . Also, experts from different working groups will talk about impact assessment methodology and best practice of EUREKA and Eurostars. There will be a discussion on R&D internalization strategy and also presentations on different national schemes for R&D result’s exploitation.

On the second day, in Vilnius, the experts will focus on Eurostars issues and discussion on launching new Eurostars programme (Eurostars 2 - blueprint) for the period 2014-2020.
