MONTREAL, Canada, 27 July 2012. The Skolkovo Foundation, the Moscow-based innovation centre, and Inerjys, the Montreal-based clean technology firm, announced today that they have signed a partnership agreement intended to help top cleantech firms based at Skolkovo reach commercialization. To achieve this goal, Inerjys intends to invest $20 million in Skolkovo resident companies over the next years.

The Skolkovo Foundation is a development agency and technopark sponsored by the Russian Government aimed at bringing top Russian high-tech firms to commercialization.

The agreement was signed by Alexey Beltyukov, Skolkovo Senior Vice President for Development and Commercialization, and Stephan Ouaknine, Inerjys Chairman & CEO, Managing Partner.

"Moscow, and the Skolkovo Foundation in particular, is on the fast track to becoming one of the world's leading clean technology hubs," said Ouaknine. "With this exciting partnership, we look forward to creating closer ties between Canada and Russia, and working together to power a better tomorrow."

Skolkovo now has more than 40 partnerships with Russian and international technology businesses and investment firms.
