Rosneft, the largest Russian oil corporation, is about to register its “participant” status with the Skolkovo innovation center and become its resident, RIA Novosti news agency reported, citing Rosneft’s  VP Igor Pavlov.

The company plans to register its already existing R&D center at Skolkovo, the vice president of the company said to journalists at a governmental meeting.

 

"We already have an R&D center and we’ll register it as Skolkovo’s resident, and the Russian government helps us with this,” Pavlov said at a governmental session on innovative economic development, held by the Russian premier Dmitry Medvedev.

As Pavlov said at the event, one of pilot projects of this Rosneft’s center has to do with some installations, which allow testing of catalytic oil refining and purification.
