Skolkovo resident Cloudike (ASD Technologies) has entered the Indonesian market with the launch of its mobile cloud service on the country’s mobile carrier Indosat Ooredoo.
The network’s customers will now be able to use incloud to upload, download and share files on a personal online cloud-based storage with enhanced features such as text message capabilities. Cloudike is a white label personal cloud solution for mobile carriers and OEMs, and its incloud service is completely branded under Indosat Ooredoo.

The launch is Cloudike’s first deployment into the Southeast Asia region, tapping into to more than 81.6 million Indosat Ooredoo customers. “Indonesia is one of the fastest-growing mobile markets,” said Maxim Azarov, president of Cloudike, a resident startup of the Skolkovo Foundation’s IT cluster.
“Through incloud, Indosat Oordeoo customers will get to experience a state-of-the-art cloud using Cloudike software for a seamless and easy to use online storage experience,” he said. Incloud will be accessible to Indosat Ooredoo customers from Android, iOS, PC, Mac OS X and web.
Last year, the Cloudike platform was launched by Vodafone Turkey, and in 2014, the Russian company attracted investment for its international development from venture funds in South Korea, where it is also active. Cloudike’s customers also include Russia’s Megafon and South Korea’s KT, and it is continuing to grow its presence in emerging markets. “We’re finding that more and more mobile carriers have turned to cloud to engage with their customers,” said Azarov. “With millions of files uploaded on a daily basis, cloud remains one of the most effective tools for mobile carriers to increase engagement, reduce churn, and find new business opportunities. To this end, we couldn’t be more excited about the launch of incloud.” Samuel Pradipta, Indosat global partnership manager, said Cloudike’s platform had been chosen due to its “great flexibility, simplicity and rapid time to market.”
“We also enjoyed working with a responsive team of Russian engineers. I sincerely believe that our further collaboration could continue in other countries and verticals markets in providing new digital services to the market," said Pradipta.
Olga Strelova, head of cloud services within Skolkovo’s IT cluster, welcomed the launch.
“Last year, the Cloudike platform took Turkey’s biggest mobile operator – the local division of Vodafone – by storm, and this year it announced its first launch in Southeast Asia,” she said.
“The commercialisation of Russian platforms abroad is one of the Skolkovo Foundation’s priorities, and we are delighted to support teams with high potential for expanding onto international markets,” said Strelova.
A delegation from the Skolkovo Foundation visited the Indonesian capital Jakarta late last year to attend the Tech in Asia event, where it selected two Asian startups to take part in this year’s Startup Village.
